RoseWater Energy HUB20 single-cabinet power system

Authorized RoseWater Energy Dealer RoseWater Energy HUB20

Power conditioning, surge protection and 28.8 kWh of battery backup for a 100 A service, all in one cabinet.

RoseWater HUB20

What is the RoseWater HUB20?

The RoseWater HUB20 is a single-cabinet power system that conditions and backs up up to 20 kW on a 100 A service with zero transfer time. Every circuit it serves runs through the HUB all day, so a grid failure, a sag or a nearby lightning strike never reaches the equipment behind it.

It was RoseWater’s first product, and it is the system RoseWater usually recommends when a homeowner wants to protect the lifestyle-critical systems, the ones you would miss first, such as lighting control, the network, security and AV.

RoseWater HUB20 specifications

The HUB20 conditions and backs up up to 20 kW on a 100 A service. Every circuit it serves is always on the HUB, so a grid failure causes no gap at all, and surges and sags are cleaned up before they reach your equipment.

Sizing

Is the HUB20 the right size for my home?

The HUB20 is the right size when the circuits you want protected fit within a 100 A service, either a smaller home’s whole service or a dedicated subpanel of essential loads in a larger one. RoseWater’s Power Plan worksheet usually points to a HUB20 for its Essential tier, which covers the microprocessor-heavy systems whose failure would be a real disruption.

Run time is the other half of sizing. It depends on what the HUB carries during an outage, which is why we calculate it in your plan and add extended battery packs when the numbers call for more storage.

  1. 01

    Pick what matters

Choose the systems you want kept on, from the network and lighting control to refrigeration and a wine room.

  2. 02

    Check the service

We review your panel schedules to see whether those circuits fit 100 A, or whether a HUB40 makes more sense.

  3. 03

    Set the run time

We size storage from the standard 28.8 kWh up to 86.4 kWh based on how long you want to ride through an outage.

The Power Plan walks through the same load categories RoseWater uses, so we start your design with real information.

Who does what

Who installs it?

A licensed electrician makes the connection at your panel, RoseWater’s technician commissions the system, and Boston Automations designs, coordinates, programs and supports it. We manage the schedule between everyone so you deal with one team.

  1. 01

    Boston Automations

Builds your Power Plan, designs and specifies the system, registers the project with RoseWater's engineering team, coordinates the electrician, programs and integrates the HUB with your home's systems, and supports it for the life of the system.

  2. 02

    Your licensed electrician

Makes the electrical tie-in at your panel. If you have an electrician you trust, we work with them. If you do not, we bring in one we know.

  3. 03

    RoseWater Energy

Builds the HUB, delivers it to the install location, and sends an on-site technician to commission it. Commissioning by RoseWater-trained personnel is what starts the three-year warranty.

FAQ

RoseWater HUB20 questions

How big is the RoseWater HUB20?

How big is the RoseWater HUB20?

The HUB20 cabinet is 84 inches high, 28.1 inches wide and 26.25 inches deep. Plan on a space about 3.5 feet wide, 3 feet deep and 8 feet high, with 36 inches clear in front for service, usually in a garage or basement.

How much battery storage does the HUB20 have?

How much battery storage does the HUB20 have?

The HUB20 includes 28.8 kWh of battery storage as standard and can be expanded to 86.4 kWh with RoseWater's extended battery packs.

Can a HUB20 back up my whole house?

Can a HUB20 back up my whole house?

A HUB20 can back up a whole house if the house runs on a 100 A service or if everything you want protected fits within 20 kW. Larger homes usually put essential circuits on a HUB20, step up to a HUB40, or combine HUBs.

Does the HUB20 need solar panels?

Does the HUB20 need solar panels?

No. The HUB20 works without solar, charging its batteries from the grid or a generator. If you add solar, the SBX10 lets it take up to 10 kW.

Can I start with a HUB20 and add storage later?

Can I start with a HUB20 and add storage later?

Yes. RoseWater's extended battery packs add storage to a HUB20, up to 86.4 kWh in total. We plan the space for them during the design so adding them later is simple.
