Authorized Savant dealer Savant Power Modules

Smart relay modules that sit beside the breakers in the panel you already have. See what every circuit uses, switch it from your phone, and let the system manage the big loads.

What they are

A smart module for every breaker

A breaker protects a circuit and does nothing else. A Savant Power Module plugs into the panel next to it, the breaker feeds the module, and the module feeds the circuit. It measures the circuit to revenue-grade accuracy, it can switch the circuit on and off, and a small screen on the module shows the circuit name and what it is drawing.

The modules talk to a Savant Power Director mounted near the panel over Bluetooth, so no control wiring runs to them. The Director connects the system to the home network and the Savant app. Savant makes modules for the common panel brands, so most homes keep the panel they have.

What does each module do?

Each module measures its circuit, and some also switch it or pause it when power is tight. Step through all six.

Tap a numbered module to see what Savant does for that circuit. The black switches are ordinary breakers. Each module with a screen is a Savant Power Module. In this example, each one sits below the breaker that feeds it. Use Next or the arrow keys to step through all 6.

Everything is running normally.

Tap a numbered module, or press Start.

Pick a module to start

This 200 A panel has 6 Savant Power Modules, numbered in red. Each one measures its circuit, and some also switch it or pause it when power is tight. Tap number 1, or press Start.

What can you do with them?

  • See what each circuit uses, now and over time
  • Turn circuits on and off from the app
  • Run scenes, such as an away mode
  • Shed large loads to stay within the service
  • Choose what runs on battery in an outage
  • Slow or pause an EV charger when power is tight

Monitoring is the part clients like first. Once you can see that the basement dehumidifier or the spa heater runs all day, you can do something about it. Read how the same modules keep a house within its service size.

Power Module Questions

What does a Savant Power Module do?

What does a Savant Power Module do?

It plugs into the panel the same way a breaker does, and the circuit's breaker feeds it. It does three things for that circuit. It measures what the circuit uses, it switches the circuit on and off from the app or a scene, and it lets the system shed the circuit when power is tight. The breaker still protects the circuit as it does today.

Do I need a new panel?

Do I need a new panel?

Usually not. Savant makes modules for Square D QO and Eaton CH panels and a 1-inch version for Homeline, Eaton BR, Siemens and GE panels, so no proprietary panel is needed. The modules take their own breaker spaces, so if the panel is full the electrician adds a second panel beside it for the modules.

Does every circuit need a module?

Does every circuit need a module?

No. Savant designs the system to scale, so you can manage a few large circuits or every circuit in the house. Savant recommends modules on everything for full control. If the budget is tight, start with the large loads and the circuits you want on battery.

What do I see in the app?

What do I see in the app?

The Savant app shows what each managed circuit is using now and over time, lists the top consumers in the house, lets you turn circuits on and off, and runs energy scenes such as an Essentials scene that keeps only the critical circuits on when the grid goes down. It also alerts you when a breaker trips or the grid fails.

What do Savant Power Modules cost?

What do Savant Power Modules cost?

Savant Power Modules typically run $2,000 to $10,000, depending on how many circuits get modules and whether the house needs a second panel for them. Adding Savant battery backup runs $10,000 to more than $100,000, depending on the size of the house and what you want backed up.

Do I need a battery to use the modules?

Do I need a battery to use the modules?

No. Modules on their own give you monitoring, control and load management. Adding Savant Power Storage later uses the same modules to decide what runs on battery.

Who installs them?

Who installs them?

A licensed electrician installs the modules and pulls the permit. We design the layout, program the system, set the priorities and scenes with you, and set up the app.
